Dragonflies flew to us

The rock singer Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi came to Ishinomaki high school, and played music to encourage us.

– Ishinomaki High School –

There were nine kids. They played along with Nagabuchi, using home-made xylophones, bowls, and kettles as instruments. One of the children, Taiyou, got really into it, beating out a rhythm on his xylophone. Nagabuchi shook each kid’s hand and gave them harmonicas. The kids seemed really happy, and I was glad that they had a good time.

Meanwhile, there was a science show held in Watanoha elementary and Mangokuura junior high school, and the kids eagerly listened to the presenters.

Everybody got balloons with propellers – awesome!. Those things fly sky high. One of them even flew to the rooftop of the third floor school.

The weather was really good today, and we had a good time playing dodgeball, kickball, and baseball.

There were a lot of activities at each school, and I think not only the kids but also the adults had a great experience and tons of fun today.
