A Bear, Not a Horse.

January 29th, 2012

Here’s how we spent the day today, here in the provisional housing at Takasago Ichome Park.

~The provisional housing at Takasago Ichome Park (report by Takagi san)~

It’s the coldest time of year, the last few days before Setsubun. We played soccer outside and drew pictures inside the assembly hall.

You can see that a girl wrote, “the day that Niji-iro Crayons is coming” in the schedule book for Sunday, and her older brother kept asking, “When is Niji-iro coming this time? Tomorrow? The day after tomorrow?” Everyone is really looking forward to the visit!

Setsubun is soon, so we folded origami monsters for the occasion, but they wound up being too cute for the occasion.

This boy is riding a bear, not a horse. The animal looks so much like a bear than a horse, obviously! “Save some snacks so I can feed them to the bear, ok?” he said.

“It’s cold out, so go play inside.” The neighbors’ words were so kind and warm.

Today’s volunteers were Nobu-san, Kageyama-san, Narumin, and Takaki. I hope none of you catch colds from today’s activities!
