Rain turning to smiles

May 10th, 2012

– Machan’s report –

Today we held our activity at the provisional housing at Northern Hebita Park #2.

It has been raining here the last 2 weeks. Even so, the kids happily came to play in their raincoats and boots.

I came prepared for the kids to make cardboard box houses, instead they made robots, dresses and one-piece outfits.

Struggling with the packing tape, this boy receives a lesson on how to tear it from Onchan-Shisho.

They also did a bunch of painting and managed to create quite a variety of things.

Today’s activity finished up with everyone laughing at a one man comedy routine by one of the second grade boys.

Our volunteers were Onchan-Shisho and myself.

Everyone was really cute today!
